Canadian Foundation on Fetal Alcohol Research (CFFAR): is a new funding agency aimed at supporting research on the fetal effects of alcohol. CFFAR will support research into all aspects of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). Researchers may obtain a maximum of $40,000 annually for a maximum of two years.

CIHR’s Institute of Gender and Health (IGH): is sponsoring a travel awards competition for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows working on topics related to gender, sex and health. IGH will award successful candidates with up to $1,000 to help cover the costs of presenting their own research at conferences.
