AMHB Summer Employment Research Program
The AMHB Summer Employment Research Program (ASERP) is designed to build and support capacity for mental health research, evaluation and quality improvement activities. Similar to the STEP Program, ASERP offers subsidized wages to Regional Health Authorities (RHAs), Aboriginal and non-profit mental health organizations to employ undergraduate and graduate students over the summer. Under the employer’s direction, students work on projects aimed at advancing the evidence based mental health goals of the organization.
Read ASERP At a Glance for more information about the program and check out the Compendium of Projects that students worked on in 2008.
Notice About ASERP in 2009
The AMHB Summer Employment Research Program (ASERP) will, unfortunately, not be offered this year. Alberta Health Services does recognize the important role this program plays in building capacity for mental health research and evaluation among Alberta students, however, due to the major changes occuring during this time of transition, the program is on hold. Please check back in Spring 2010.
